 Join us for the first True North Puzzle Event in Halifax!

The Puzzle Day has been designed with beginners in mind, with puzzles specially selected to give new puzzlers the best possible chance of finishing and enjoying the experience. Experienced puzzlers are absolutely welcome too, come along, challenge yourself and see if you can set a new personal best! 

We won’t be announcing the puzzle brands ahead of time, but you can expect a fun mixture of brands and puzzle styles throughout the day.

Alongside a full line-up of jigsaw puzzle competitions, we’ll also feature a range of additional puzzle challenges, including sudoku, logic puzzles, and cryptic crosswords, participants can compete for prizes or simply enjoy solving at their own pace.

No partner or team? Don’t worry—we’ll match solo participants with others. If you plan to compete with a specific partner or team, please register together or note each other names on your registration.

There will be a Puzzle Social on the Saturday evening. Tickets are sold separately and you do not need to attend both days. If you purchase tickets for the social you will be asked if you're interested in a puzzle chess tournament - if there is enough interest I will run one, but puzzles for puzzle chess will be available regardless. 

Puzzle social activities include the following - you can pick and choose what you want to do!

• SPEED RUNS - with prizes
• Wood puzzles and a wide variety of brands
• Logic Puzzles - with prizes
• Casual Puzzling
• FUN Teams run
• Puzzle chess (depending on interest we might have a tournament)

  We’re excited to recognize puzzlers of all skill levels throughout the weekend:

• Top Finisher in each event
• Fastest Newbie for each event
• Mystery Time  A random finish time will be generated after the competition, and the prize goes to the puzzler whose finish time is closest to the mystery time (over or under just closest)
• 2 Random prize draws during each event

• Lunch (sandwiches/wraps or similar) will be provided to those registered for the individuals comps on Sun morning and/or the full day.
• Afternoon snack and tea/coffee with be provided to those registered for the full day on Sun
• Food is not provided on Sat at the social but food and drink from the hotel restaurant can be brought into the puzzle room
• We kindly ask that no outside food be brought into the venue.
